commissions 

I am happy to accept commissions for most* requests.

 

The estimates and timelines below apply to most subject matter including; children, adults and pets.

 

My preferred preparation process is to meet in person [where possible] to discuss and either take photographs or, where photo references are provided, choose the most suitable from several options. The reference photographs should be of high resolution and have good strong lighting. Obviously, this is not always possible so is naturally always open for discussion or direction.

The process is simple. I begin by sending a compositional sketch and before the final varnish, send a copy of the completed work for approval.

​

Time frames are a guide and will vary depending on amount of work in the studio. I will always do my best to meet  tight deadlines for special occasions.

estimates & timeframes

BASED ON SINGLE SUBJECT

Prices start from $400 aud [$300 usd] for an oil painting based on either an 8 x 10" /20 x 25cm or 9 x 12" /23 x 30cm surface of either stretched canvas or museum wooden panel. 

 

This fee includes initial meeting, any photography that may be needed and priority delivery.

​

Canvas sizes increase incrementally up to 36 x48" / 90 x 120cm and prices increase base on preferred size. A mid point guide, eg. 40 x 50cm, would be approximately $600.

​

Time frame process begins on acceptance of the reference image/s.

 

An 8 x 10" / 20 x 25cm work for example, will take approx 2 weeks inc. drying time.
