An Australian creative, the first half of my life was spent in Melbourne, the second, spread across several diverse continents.

My career afforded me the invaluable opportunity

not only to see the world but to live amongst and immerse myself deeply within it. Like Darrell in Maugham's Razors Edge, I journeyed in search of a deeper, transcendent understanding of life, eager and curious to discover where the world's most contented peoples were and what made them so.

I have been fortunate enough to have lived and worked in some of the world's most politically volatile and economically challenged countries and those considered most advantaged, advanced and affluent.

From the Isle of Serendip, Sri Lanka, the tiny sparkling jewel at the tip of India, amidst its marathon, brutal civil war to status driven, workaholic 24/7, Hong Kong during the Tiananmen Square massacre and its turbulent transition from British to Chinese rule....

...from hauntingly magnificent Prague, not long after the fall of communism, with its extraordinary history to wonderfully live-&-let-live New York, pre, during and post the chaos and anguish of 9/11.

I've experienced; love, loss, marriage, divorce, wealth, hardship, physical and mental health challenges and a teenaged son!  Endlessly fascinated by the human race, my curiosity and adventurous spirit remain, as ever, insatiable.
